METHOD
Read from the vote table embedded in the guide's How they voted tool (twincitiesrenterguide.com), which the editor compiled from the sources listed. Each vote's sources are in source_urls.
A vote counts as with renters when it kept or expanded a tenant protection, and against renters when it weakened one or blocked one from moving forward.
For the two failed Minneapolis veto overrides in 2026, only Ward 11 member Jamison Whiting's votes are confirmed by name, from the voting record his office posts. Other members' override votes are coded U and aren't scored.

Votes are the guide's selection of renter-related votes, not every council vote.
Rows coded X are votes taken before the current member joined the council; the vote cast for that seat at the time isn't included except where a note names it.
Minneapolis override votes are not confirmed by name for 12 of 13 members.
