Saint Paul and Minneapolis council members: renter vote scores, as of October 2026 Published by the Twin Cities Renter Guide, twincitiesrenterguide.com. Last updated: Oct. 22, 2026. Files generated Oct. 24, 2026 by build_civic.py. DESCRIPTION One row per current council member with the score the guide's How they voted tool shows: how many contested renter votes the member cast with renters, out of how many counted. SOURCES - Computed from twin-cities-council-votes.csv (same folder); see that file's readme for every vote source and access date. METHOD Score = votes_with_renters / contested_votes_counted, where a vote is counted only if it was contested (not unanimous), the member held the seat and voted yes or no. Abstentions, votes before the member took office and votes not confirmed by name are left out. Map color strength = round(15 + 85 x score) percent of the city color; gray when no votes are counted. Computed with the same rules as the guide's page script and checked against it. COLUMNS See twin-cities-council-scores-dictionary.csv. LIMITS Small numbers: every member has between 2 and 4 counted votes, so one vote moves the share a lot. Members are scored only on votes taken while they were on the council: members who joined in 2026 on 2026 votes, and Saint Paul Ward 4's member, elected in an August 2025 special election, from September 2025.
